Homecoming 2024: A Celebration of Community and Spirit!

Homecoming isn’t just a tradition; it’s a celebration of community, school spirit, and shared memories. This year, the Foundation for Haslett Schools was absolutely thrilled to host the Homecoming Hoopla, an event that brought together students, families, and local residents for a day filled with fun, laughter, and plenty of school pride!

Delicious Eats from a Local Food Truck

What’s a celebration without great food? We were delighted to partner with a local food truck 517 Picnic that served up mouthwatering dishes, making it easy for everyone to enjoy a tasty meal while mingling with friends. The aroma of freshly prepared meals wafting through the air added to the festive atmosphere and kept our spirits high! 

Dunking for a Good Cause

One of the highlights of the Homecoming Hoopla was undoubtedly the dunk tank, where brave volunteers took a plunge for a good cause. This year, we had some truly unique dunkers—a gladiator and a lobster! It was a hilarious sight as attendees took their shots, aiming for a splash and some hearty laughs. The joy of watching friends and family dunk these lovable characters created an electric atmosphere that embodied the spirit of the event.

Custom Gear to Show Off School Spirit

For those looking to show their Haslett pride, our custom T-shirt booth was a must-visit. Attendees had the chance to create personalized Homecoming shirts, ensuring everyone left with a unique piece of memorabilia to remember the day. Whether you opted for the classic school colors or added a fun design, these shirts became a symbol of our community spirit.

A Mascot to Remember

No Homecoming event would be complete without our beloved high school mascot Victor the Viking! Foundation members took the lead in driving our mascot through the crowds, waving enthusiastically to students and families alike. The cheers and laughter that followed were heartwarming, reinforcing the sense of unity and pride that makes our community so special.

Swag Galore!

As if the dunking, food, and mascot weren’t enough, we also had a treasure trove of free swag to give away! From colorful pom-poms to fun bead necklaces, and even candy and pencils, there was no shortage of goodies to take home. These small tokens of appreciation not only added to the festivities but also served as reminders of the wonderful day we spent together.
