🎉 Exciting News: Foundation for Haslett Schools Grants $1695 for Updated Elementary Music Curriculum! 🎶

We have some incredible news to share with you, once again! The Foundation for Haslett Schools has awarded a generous grant of $1695 to support the purchase of an updated music curriculum for elementary classrooms at Wilkshire Early Childhood Center, Ralya, and Murphy Elementaries. This much-needed update will bring a fresh and engaging approach to music education, leaving the old 23-year-old Gameplan curriculum behind.

Introducing MusicPlay Online (www.musicplayonline.com), the new and innovative music curriculum that is set to revolutionize the learning experience for our students. This comprehensive program offers a wide range of interactive activities and technologies, designed to make music education fun, interactive, and accessible for all. Using this curriculum, students will learn music theory and playing and singing from their own student account, at home or at school. This resource covers our current Haslett Board approved scope and sequence for elementary music.

One of the standout features of MusicPlay Online is its teacher lesson plans, which provide visual learning targets. These plans will help our talented educators provide clear and engaging instructions, ensuring that students have a clear understanding of their learning objectives. With these visual aids, our teachers can create a more engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

What makes this new curriculum truly remarkable is its ever-changing nature. MusicPlay Online is committed to reflecting the development of our diverse learning community. It is conscious of songs and repertoire with a questionable history, including those originating from minstrelsy or outdated viewpoints.
